Pittsburgh, PA – DRS Architects: Our Newest Architectural Intern Visits Rome to Study Abroad.
Stephanie Kubus sent us an e-mail the other day to check in and to share some photos.
“Hope all is well back in Pittsburgh. I’ve begun to settle into Roman lifestyle. My first weekend has been a whirlwind of orientations, meetings, and seeing as much as I could before classes began! I’ve hit most of the major tourist attractions: Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, the Forum, the Trevi Fountain, and many churches. I still have so much more to see to really explore the city!”
Check out some of her pictures she was kind enough to send us:
The first picture is of Borromini’s Sant’Agnese in Agone, in Piazza Navona.
The second picture is Stephanie on the Altare della Patria.
The third is view from the rooftop terrace of our academic building. You can see the Colosseum on the right! She has a similar view from the terrace in her residential building.
The last picture is specifically for Jon Funari (one of our senior architects) since he asked Stephanie for a picture of the “via de Funari” which happens to be right near the site of our first project.
